Sometimes I Forget Why I Write.

Sometimes I forget why I write. I focus so much upon the dream of success, the acclaim and affirmation of others, that I lose sight of the rewards the act of writing gives to me. It is only when I write that I experience a true sense of contentment and fulfillment, a sense that I am fulfilling my purpose. Fame, success and money may come one day, but I know they will not give to me the happiness I experience now as I write these words.
