The lazy are not happy nor are the greedy nor the lustful. They gain satisfaction from bodily delights, but these impulses are not happiness. They are a brief respite in the darkness. They weaken the mind’s control over the body and weaken the body itself. A body chained to desire is lethargic and lacks the strength to walk the straight path.
